Built on courage,
driven by love
Ten years ago, Beena Dhankani took a courageous step that would go on to transform many lives across Gujarat. As co-founder and managing trustee of Amba Angels, she began with a clear and heartfelt vision — to create a space where children with intellectual disabilities are not just supported, but truly empowered to live independent and meaningful lives.
What started as a small initiative has today grown into a dedicated centre for learning, skill-building, and personal development. Under Beena's guidance, Amba Angels equips children with essential life skills, vocational training, and the confidence to navigate the world with dignity.
Her approach goes beyond traditional care — it emphasises inclusion, self-reliance, and respect for every individual's unique potential. Families who once felt uncertain now find hope, direction, and community through the centre.
Over the years, Amba Angels has created a deep and lasting impact in Gujarat — touching not only the lives of children but reshaping societal perspectives around intellectual disabilities. Today, it stands as a beacon of compassion, empowerment, and possibility.
